Samuel Welles received his B.A. in Music Composition, with a minor in economics, from Bates College in 2007. He wrote and successfully defended his undergraduate Honors Thesis : “String Quartet in B Major” for induction into the Edmund Muskie Archives, premiering at the 2007 Mount David Summit. More recently, Samuel managed a world music database and sourced gratis placements for action sports films with The Rights Workshop, a music supervision and licensing firm. For the past few years, he has worked as a musical therapist with his primary focus being with an autistic ten-year-old and his family. Joining Delagnes, Linder and Duey in 2013, he is currently pursuing a J.D. from the University of San Francisco. In his free time, Sam is a staff writer for the blog, an avid golfer, bicyclist, and keyboardist for the disco-boogie ensemble Retaxes and the Mutton Busters.
